City Notices Two UTC Final Maps Near Genesee and La Jolla Village Drive
The Sept. 1, 2026 San Diego City Council agenda includes public notices for two University City final maps near Genesee Avenue and La Jolla Village Drive. These are map-record notices. They are not new building entitlements, unit counts, or groundbreakings. This is a different item from the University Community Library study already on this news board.
Costa Verde UTC final map
The City Engineer will approve the Costa Verde UTC final map, Tentative Map PMT-3318636, PRJ-1121151. Addresses on the notice are 8410, 8510, 8610, 8650, 8670, and 8750 Genesee Avenue, 4260 Nobel Drive, 4282 Esplanade Court, and 8505 Costa Verde Drive. The sites sit in the University Community Plan, Council District 6. There are 10 calendar days to appeal to City Council.
SERITAGE UTC MALL final map
The City Land Surveyor will approve the SERITAGE UTC MALL final map, Tentative Map PMT-3346875 / PRJ 1132219. Addresses on the notice are 4577 and 4589 La Jolla Village Drive. The lots are in the EMX-3 zone, University Community Plan, with an Airport Land Use Compatibility (MCAS Miramar) overlay. There are 10 calendar days to appeal to City Council.
Why it matters
- A final map records lot lines. It does not by itself mean buildings are breaking ground.
- Do not treat these notices as a specific home count or a construction start.
- If you own or are buying near Genesee, Nobel, Costa Verde Drive, or La Jolla Village Drive, the 10-day appeal window is the process item, not a sales opening.
