KB Home Opens City Vista Paired Homes at Nutmeg and Centre City Parkway
KB Home announced on Sept. 25, 2026 that its City Vista community in Escondido is open for tours. The sales office and model homes are open for walk-in visits and private tours. This is a builder sales opening, not a city council approval, and it is a different site from the Hill Valley and Valley Parkway townhome cases already on this board.
What opened
KB Home said City Vista is near Interstate 15 at the corner of North Nutmeg Street and North Centre City Parkway. The homes are three-story paired homes with up to 4 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. The company advertised prices from the mid $600,000s. Planned on-site open space includes a children's playground, benches, and walking paths. The release places the community in the Escondido Union School District and near Dixon Lake and Kit Carson Park. KB Home also said the homes are built to the Insurance Institute for Business and Home Safety's highest wildfire resilience standards, including Class A fire-rated roofs, noncombustible gutters, upgraded windows and doors, ember- and flame-resistant vents, and a 5-foot noncombustible buffer around the structures. The release does not state how many homes are in the community, so this briefing does not give a unit count.
