Mission Valley’s transformation is not only apartments for working-age renters. SDSU is advancing a senior living project on its Mission Valley campus that targets independent living, assisted living, and memory care.

Reporting in early August 2026 describes a seven-story building with about 250 units, including memory-care capacity, plus amenities such as a pool, dining, fitness, and outdoor decks. Construction is expected to start later in the decade, with first residents targeted around 2030.
